httest: new major release

httest is a scriptable HTTP Test Tool for testing and benchmarking webapplication and HTTP server development. Can act as client (requesting) and server (backend for reverse proxys). Pattern matching answers (both server(s)and client(s)) to test validity.

Reorganised the build system. Included configure script for easy build and installation on any unix system.

Robot Framework 2.0.3 released

Robot Framework 2.0.3 is another 2.0.x release with miscellaneous fixes and improvements. The most visible change is changing the log level of failure tracebacks to DEBUG, but the noticeable performance improvement when processing larger output files is probably the most important. We also have a new tool for generating test documentation.

eTraxis 1.19.0 is released.

eTraxis is a web-based bug tracking system written on PHP. Some of the main features are: fully custom templates, advanced filters, LDAP support, email notifications, subscriptions, reminders, flexible permissions management, graphical project metrics, etc.

New features integrated in this release:
new-749: Guest access for unauthorized users.

Bug fixes integrated in this release:
bug-759: /src/dbo/filters.php: Variable $id was used before it was defined
bug-760: Backslashes are lost in checking PCRE patterns for textual fields.

Watir 1.6.2 released

Watir is an open-source library for automating web browsers. It allows you to write tests that are easy to read and maintain. It is simple and flexible.

This is a big release with a lot of new features and fixes, but the focus has been integrating the Watir and FireWatir code bases and significantly improving support for Firefox. Main features include:
- Firefox Support
- Modal Dialog Support
- Speed Improvements on IE
- Multiple Attribute Support for All Page Elements

itracker 3.0 RC2 is released

itracker is an issue tracking system designed to support projects with independent user bases. Features include multiple versions and components, detailed issue histories and email notifications. itracker is built on Spring, Struts and Hibernate.

Release Candidate 2 focuses on improving the code stability and clean up of scriptlet codes. There are also major bugs that were fixed.

Pandora FMS 2.0 final version released

Pandora FMS is a monitoring system for big IT environments. It uses remote tests, or local agents to grab information. Pandora supports all standard OS (Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris and Windows XP,2000/2003), and support multiple setups in HA enviroments.

Development of stable version 2.0 of Pandora FMS is over. After a long testing period, Pandora FMS team has finished development for this version, that introduces great features from previous version.

Some changes from last version are:
* WMI Remote Monitoring Server (Windows).
* Plugin Server to reuse user-programmed network checks.
* Prediction Server to detect anomalies in patterns.
* Export Server to replicate data across multiple Pandora FMS setups.
* Network Map with OS autodetection and topology discovery.
* New Visual Console in AJAX for interactive map creation.
* Agent remote configuration from the Console.
* Advanced alert correlation.
* Log processing (Windows and Unix).
* Now is not necessary to edit the config file of the Windows agent, while installing it you can select and edit its options from a combo box.

Several bugfixes has been made since Beta1 to solve inappropriate database events, ACL, extensions, reports, graphs, groups, alerts, agent, translation, headers, inline help system, snmp, visual console and console itself, behaviour.

Unitils 2.0 released

Unitils provides utilities to simplify unit-testing with JUnit or TestNG. It builds further on DBUnit and integrates with Hibernate and Spring. The goal is to make unit-testing easy and maintainable by offering utilities such as automatic DB-schema maintenance and equality assertion through reflection.

In this release, a new module has been added for testing with mock objects.

JWebUnit 2.0 is available

JWebUnit is a Java-based framework for testing web applications.

JWebUnit team is proud to announce the release of JWebUnit 2.0. It has been updated to JDK 1.5 and HtmlUnit 2.3.

Sahi V2 Build 2008-10-26 released

Sahi is an automation and testing tool for web applications, with the facility to record and playback scripts.

Sahi V2 has undergone drastic simplification in its code structure and is much leaner with enhanced and more reliable playback.

Features added:
- logging added for errors in browser functions
- logs for suites available while the suite is running
- _scriptName added which returns the script’s name
- proper killing of browser process using PIDs
- BASIC authentication for proxies added.

Bugfixes:
- browser functions in included scripts handled properly
- line numbers in logs handled properly.
- strings got from _readFile quoted properly.
