We have two websites, one is Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP.

The other is going to use SQL Server (and we may be using IIS, but may be able to use Linux-Apache) We will use either PHP or ASP on this second site.

The website involves intensive search and display of information from the database. It is essentially a read-only site; the users wont be updating the database.

Wed like to be able to do performance testing, stress/load testing, to see how various code and even technology changes affect performance. The testing software should also be able to detect and report bugs.

We may be moving back and forth between open source platforms and Windows, so wed like our test suites to work under both.

Id like to hear the recommendations from those with more experience with the tools on this site.

    Thanks,
    -Matt
